Introduction

Professor Kroumovitch has been a faculty member at Stetson University’s School of Music since 1989. She studied with the legendary David Oistrakh at the Moscow Conservatory, and has taught master classes, performed concerts, and recorded on radio and television throughout the former USSR, United States, Canada, Europe, South America, and Asia. She has been concertmaster of the Chilean Philharmonic Orchestra, Chilean Symphony Orchestra, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Brevard Symphony Orchestra, and since 1994, concertmaster of The Bach Festival Orchestra. Professor Kroumovitch received the Critic’s Award for the best solo performance in Santiago, Chile, and a Fulbright Award. She has served as a judge in International Violin Competitions and has participated in numerous festivals including Grand Tetons, the Florida International Festival, Frutillar Music Festival in Chile, Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, Schlern International Music Festival, and Orfeo Music Festival.
